Hey guys!
I'm keeping my promise. I've updated quite a few pictures since I got my premium and I'm struggling to figure out this whole schedule update thing - short story, I'll try to set it so dA posts something every day at 1 pm GMT. Now, whether or not I can get it to work is another matter entirely. (If you've ever read Dresden files - that's how I feel about electronics; I love them but they seem to hate me; them and search bars)

I've started listening to a song again and it's bad, real bad. I was obsessed with it for the longest time and it's probably a big part of what got me so hooked on the anime. I nearly cried when they changed the song for season 2.  Click The video is haunting and beautiful and beautifully haunting. And I'll shut up about it now.

It's so good. Even if you don't like anime or can't speak Japanese - which I can't. They do subtitles. And a complete translation if you look it up. So worth it.

About writing. I've nearly finished a review on here for Xenocide by Orson Scott Card - already posted a short version on my Goodreads if you wanna take a look ( <"www.goodreads.com/review/show/…">Click). I'm seriously considering making a new account so if you have a goodreads and want to add me (please do!) consider that as I will be moving stuff across as well if I ever get around to it. I'm just too lazy and there are LOTS of books to move over.  I plan to do Speaker for the Dead as well, since it's the book that introduced me to the series (there was a sale and I wasn't aware it's the second book in the series; plus, it can be a stand-alone book as well so there weren't massive spoilers... well they were but I feel the books are more than just the action in them, it's how it gets there and the lessons they try to teach).

Card himself... I don't know. I try to stay away from reading about authors I like in case it taints my view of the books. In my opinion, Frank Herbert and Tolkien were gods and the best people ever and Rowling is a protective single mother who worked to raise her children. That's all I want to know. Heck, I even stay away from Anne Rice's stuff that I don't agree with just so I can keep the image I have of Lestat and the others, characters whom I grew up with to some extent and care deeply for. If you want to comment on him, please do, just don't see me liking his books as me supporting any of his comments. Actually, scratch that. If you can't understand liking something for itself, I don't necessarily care what you think. I wish you wouldn't but anywho.

Right. What was I saying?

I'm also half-way through a review of a non-fiction book, History of the World by Andrew Marr. LOVE IT. XD Also, might do one of Zahi Hawass' The great book of ancient Egypt, just cause of the deep respect and admiration I have for him. If I ever get through the massive thing. (I LOVE THAT EVEN MORE <3). What else should I review?

If anyone has any suggestions, I'm in the mood for light, happy books. Might turn to Pratchett. He's not really light or happy but his stories are so impeccably good and his characters are amazing. I've been keeping an eye out for the rest of his books (I only have a few physical books... I could read on the kindle but the pdfs miss out on his footnotes and I miss them :( It's ridiculous how much he's made me want to read footnotes, the dread of any reader...).

What else?

I'm planning an even bigger upload so in the near future I shall be adding more pictures and stuff. Maybe even writing. Yay! I have so many ideas but desperately need someone to bounce them off of. :iconraindrop-rouge:? (Just kidding, I know you're dead busy )

But in all seriousness. This premium has really got me back into gear. To know people actually appreciate my work has made me want to do more of it. I'd quite happily start on Vampire Knight fanart if I could do more than lineart. I'm way to lazy and lacking in confidence to try anything more. Speaking of that though, anyone know if you can hook up a kindle to a laptop and use it like a normal drawing tablet? I'm rubbish at google. I know. Yes, it is actually possible.

Anywho.

I've got 3-4 more weeks till my next big assignment so I might just have some time on my hands. Yay!

Oh and you poor people will get at least one sketch dump from me as soon as I can get myself to scan it all. Hint? I missed out on Halloween deviations. Time to make up for it.

I think I like this journal skin more. Considering trying to figure out how to get new ones. Hmm.

Over and out,
Gaby

BABE there'll always be time for you!!! Ok given lately it's been small moments, I know I need to send longer responses, but promise I'll try harder

Though actually, it's always awesome when you have ideas, so i might not do anything to bounce them off :p. Give the fanart a go... I wanna know if like me you find imitating that style's eyes easy enough but the clothing style hard as hell (yes I've been there XD).

I need to go check out your photos now, if you'll excuse meee.
